Never underestimate the therapeutic power of the pen. Through the Pen Pal Club at Willowbend, our residents have fun exchanging letters with people all over the world, while making new friends in the process.

The Pen Pal Club expands our world at Willowbend to the four corners of the globe. Through our participation in a worldwide Facebook community of other activity directors, we organize pen pal letter exchanges with people in other parts of the world. Letters and cards from our residents have traveled to places as close as Texas and New York and as far away as Australia and the United Kingdom.

 

Whether our residents simply share what’s going on at Willowbend or wordsmith a personalized Christmas greeting, this monthly event has an enthusiastic following and is something residents really look forward to.
